In F. Scott Fitzgerald\u2019s \u201cAbsolution\u201d (which is the discarded first chapter of The Great Gatsby), and William Faulkner\u2019s \u201cBarn Burning,\u201d each author\u2019s unique narrative \u2018voice\u2019 is present in every corner of every page. Their voices are unmistakable.
